"My dream is to be a flight attendant!"
On May 14th, we met with a bright sponsored child in Seongnam who is a high school sophomore.

Since 2022, Sujin has been a Way Maker scholarship student. Sujin is a second-generation North Korean refugee child who came to South Korea seven years ago with her father, mother, and older sister.
A few years ago, Sujin’s father passed away after battling cancer, and now her mother is raising two children alone and leading the family. From a young age, Sujin was very aware of her family’s situation. She grew up as a quick-witted child who understood things well. She was even hesitant to ask her mother, who raised her alone, to attend extra classes, and there was a time when she struggled with whether she had to give up on her dreams.

Thanks to the warm love and support from our sponsors, Sujin is now attending a Korean language academy to improve her skills! Her once vague dream of going to college is slowly becoming clearer and more achievable.
Every week, Sujin attends a flight attendant academy where she takes makeup and hair styling classes, and she feels herself getting closer to her dream. Although she tries not to compare herself to others, seeing friends who are much taller than her sometimes makes her wonder if she can truly become a flight attendant.

Despite these doubts, Sujin says she wants to become a wonderful flight attendant to provides the best service tailored to passengers’ needs and ensures a safe and comfortable journey.
